I started Sweet Bee Candles as a hobby, then I put them in a few small local shops and now I’ve given in to the pressure to keep up with the times and have a website, facebook page and twitter.

For many years I’ve enjoyed burning beeswax candles and became interested in learning how to make them.  I started experimenting, learning about and working with beeswax and today make tea lights, floating candles, votive, taper, and pillar beeswax candles.  I’m still learning, and really enjoy making them.  My family loves it when I’m melting a big pot of wax; the whole house smells like warm honey!

Beeswax is a wonderful material to work with.  I think beeswax is very appealing to our senses; every piece of beeswax has a slightly different colour and scent, all beautiful, and the wax has a wonderful feel to it: smooth, silky, almost velvety.  When you light beeswax candles, they have a wonderful golden bright light and release a warm cozy honey scent.  Lighting a candle instantly adds ambiance, calmness and serenity.  They help us relax and wind down from our busy days.

I'm hoping you will love them as much as I do and enjoy the natural beauty in something made from nature.
